Nextronic, a subsidiary of the Aba Technology group, has entered the capital of the Franco-Moroccan company FMC2E, specializing in the manufacturing of electronic cards, according to a press release.
« The activity of FMC2E is mainly focused on exports with major European groups, particularly in the automotive, aerospace, and defense sectors, such as the Thales Group. The company has a trained and certified team and an operational production facility for over a decade, » says Yassine Abouch, Vice President of Technology and Innovation of the group.
FMC2E is joining the Nextronic teams « to further consolidate their expertise in electronic card manufacturing, provide new industrial and technological capabilities, and contribute to the acceleration of the internationalization process of Aba Technology’s subsidiary, » he adds.
From the early days of this acquisition, new automated machines were delivered to FMC2E’s industrial site, located a few meters away from Nextronic’s site, « in order to accelerate the modernization and automation of the production tool through new electronic card manufacturing techniques, such as automated optical inspection (AOI). »
Beyond the production of electronic cards and sensors, the expertise of the Aba Technology group in software and embedded systems has allowed the group to solve challenges for numerous industrial companies and guide them towards Industry 4.0 organizations, enabling them to transform their activities, create added value, and achieve significant savings.
This includes automotive equipment manufacturers such as the American group Aptiv, which implemented Industry 4.0 solutions (Human-Machine Interfaces) in their factories in Meknes and Tangier, solutions for traceability of temperature-sensitive products (vaccines, serums, insulin, temperature-controlled medications), and oil and gas companies such as TotalEnergies (traffic and flow analysis with AI cameras), as well as farmers implementing agri-tech solutions (weather stations, environmental monitoring in greenhouses, smart irrigation).
It is worth noting that Nextronic’s turnover has experienced significant growth, increasing from 4 million dirhams (MDH) to 100 MDH between 2020 and 2022, with the creation of 130 jobs, 70% of which are engineering positions.
« Since 2020, our investments have perfectly aligned with promoting the Made-in-Morocco label, which is a driving force for the Aba Technology group, and strongly contribute to our country’s industrial and technological sovereignty, » says Mohamed Benouda, the founding president of Aba Technology group.
Thus, with the entry of FMC2E into its capital, Nextronic will further accelerate its internationalization in the global market, particularly in the European Union and the Middle East market.
